Uh oh seems like I've been slacking with these post =P. So the past weekend I went to Florence, which is an amazing city. Compared with Rome, Florence is a lot cleaner. I think it has something to do with the extremely small amount of gypsies and homeless people then there is in Rome. Plus you don't step on random pieces of dog turd every couple of feet =P. The most interesting part about the trip though was that we had stayed in a convent with nuns. Surprisingly the place was very nice, it seemed more like a small hotel then something you would normally think of when you hear the words "convent" and "Nuns". While I was in Florence though, I managed to spend 35 Euros on a single dinner. Why? because I was told it was probably the best food and memorable experience I would ever have. Is this true? I must say 35 Euros for 4-5 course meal plus unlimited red house wine plus the atmosphere is definitely worth every penny =D. If any of you are wondering the name of the place, it is called "il latina".
Took about 700 photos so I'm only going to show you the Cathedral in Doumo:
Dome built by Brunelleschi:
Facade of the Cathedral:
No Fakes Per Favore: After walking about 700 steps I believe, I took about 100 shots of the city from the top of the dome. Just looking around from that vantage point made my whole trip to Italy worth it.
